9 Days Kenya Safari

Day 1:
You will be picked from your Nairobi Hotel/Airport by your driver guide and our company representative who will give you a pre safari briefing. Thereafter, you will depart with your driver guide to Amboseli National Park arriving in time for lunch. After lunch you will have an afternoon game drive from 1600hrs until sunset.

Day 2:
This day will be spent exploring Amboseli National Park either with a 0630hrs morning and evening game drive or a full day game drives with picnic lunch boxes. Amboseli means “a dust pan” in Maasai language. The park is crossed by whirlwinds that send winding columns of dust into the sky thus called Amboseli by the local people. Vast herds of elephants, zebras, wildebeests, giraffes and impalas are the main attraction. Mt Kilimanjaro forms a magnificent backdrop which famed as the best photography back ground.

Day 3:
0700hrs after breakfast, you will proceed to Aberdares National Park in central Kenya highlands. On arrival, you will check in at a base hotel for lunch before being transferred to a tree hotel for an afternoon of game viewing from the lodge terrace or your room balcony. You might be lucky to see the elusive Leopard among other animals like the, elephants, Serval Cat, waterbuck, reedbuck, dik dik, rhino and the rare bongo at the floodlit waterholes.

Day 4:
You will have breakfast at The Tree Hotel and thereafter be transferred to the base hotel where you will you will connect with your driver guide at 0830hrs for a drive to Samburu National Reserve. You will arrive at your lodge in time for lunch and an evening game drive will follow from 1600hrs until sunset. Samburu country offers a dramatic and rugged landscape on northern Kenya with only river Ewaso Nyiro as a permanent waters source that also abound with crocodile, hippo and plenty of wildlife including the peculiar Grevy zebra, Gerenuk, Beisa Oryx and the Somali Ostrich all unique wildlife found to north of equator.

Day 5:
A full day in Samburu Game Reserve will reward you with a 0630hrs game drive returning to the lodge for breakfast. Thereafter enjoy the lodge facilities until lunch time. You will have an afternoon game drive from 1600hrs until sunset. During your game drive you will enjoy a variety of great landscape and wildlife. The elephants of Samburu are interesting to watch as they drink from the river. You might also decide to visit a local Samburu village for their colorful cultural display at an extra cost.

Day 6:
0730hrs, after breakfast, you will depart for Lake Nakuru National park via the western edge of the rift valley and with the view of the Aberdare national park and the great plains of Laikipia via Nyahururu Thomson’s falls where you will have a brief stopover. You will arrive in Nakuru in time for lunch and time at leisure before enjoying and evening of exploring this ornithological paradise renowned world over due to flamingos that abound in this Rift Valley Lake.

Day 7:
0730hrs after breakfast, you will depart for Maasai Mara Game Reserve driving further south through the Great Rift Valley floor to arrive in time for lunch at your overnight lodge. After lunch proceed with an afternoon game drive until sunset. Maasai Mara is known for the annual wildebeest migration and has been christened the 07th wonder of the world. Animals such as Elephants, giraffes, gazelle, zebra, Cheetah are to be seen during a tour of this famous game reserve. Leopards are also regularly seen as well as the rhino. The annual wildebeest migration, one of nature's few remaining wildlife spectacles, occurs in the Mara where the big animals and their predators are to be found in abundance.

Day 8:
You will have a full day in Mara with morning game drive and afternoon game drives. You can also choose to have a full day game drive with picnic lunch. You will have time at leisure in between game drive with lunch at the lodge before an afternoon of game viewing with a visit to a Maasai Boma (homestead) to experience the Maasai outstanding culture and customs (Extra). You also have an option of having a full day game drive with picnic lunch boxes. You can also take a balloon flight in one of this days and an aerial view of Maasai Mara which end with a champagne breakfast (extra cost). Maasai Mara being the northern extension of Serengeti national park in Tanzania is always a must see destination for wildlife lovers.

Day 9:
0730hrs after breakfast, you will depart from Maasai Mara and drive to Nairobi arriving in early afternoon in time for lunch (own arrangement). You will be transferred to the airport in good time for your flight or be dropped off at your pick up point.
