10 Days Kenya Escape Safari

Day 1:
You will be picked from your Nairobi Hotel or airport by your driver guide and our safari director for a safari briefing. Thereafter, you will depart with your driver guide to Samburu National Reserve. You will arrive at your camp in time for lunch and an evening game drive will follow from 1600hrs until sunset. Samburu country offers a dramatic and rugged landscape on northern Kenya with only river Ewaso Nyiro as a permanent waters source that also abound with crocodile, hippo and plenty of wildlife including the peculiar Grevy zebra, Gerenuk, Beisa Oryx and the Somali Ostrich all unique wildlife found to north of equator.

Day 2 - 3:
You will have two full days in Samburu Game Reserve which will reward you with a 0630hrs game drive returning to the lodge for breakfast and an afternoon game drive from 1600hrs until sunset. Samburu has great landscape and wildlife. The elephants of Samburu are interesting to watch as they drink from the river. You might also decide to visit a local Samburu village for their colorful cultural display at an extra cost

Day 4:
You will have breakfast and thereafter depart to Ol Pejeta Wildlife Sanctuary. On arrival you will have lunch followed by an afternoon game drive with a visit to Sweetwaters Chimpanzee sanctuary. Your overnight camp which is sheltered oasis, clustered around a waterhole and set in the pristine calm of a private wildlife conservancy which is in a class of its own

Day 5:
0730hrs, after breakfast, you will depart for Lake Nakuru National park via the western edge of the rift valley and with the view of the Aberdare national park and the great plains of Laikipia via Nyahururu Thomson’s falls where you will have a brief stopover. You will arrive in Nakuru in time for lunch and time at leisure before enjoying and evening game drive exploring this ornithological paradise renowned world over due to flamingos that abound in this Rift Valley Lake.

Day 6:
0730hrs after breakfast, you will depart for Maasai Mara Game Reserve driving further south through the Great Rift Valley floor to arrive in time for lunch at your overnight camp. After lunch proceed with an afternoon game drive until sunset en route to your overnight lodge. Maasai Mara is known for the annual wildebeest migration and is among the 07th wonder of the world. Animals such as Elephants, giraffes, gazelle, zebra, Cheetah are to be seen during a tour of this famous game reserve. Leopards are also regularly seen as well as the rhino. The annual wildebeest migration, one of nature's few remaining wildlife spectacles, occurs in the Mara where the big animals and their predators are to be found in abundance.

Day 7 - 8:
You will have a full day in Mara with morning game drive and afternoon game drives. You can also choose to have a full day game drive with picnic lunch. You will have time at leisure in between game drive with lunch at the lodge before an afternoon of game viewing with a visit to a Maasai Boma (homestead) to experience the Maasai outstanding culture and customs (Extra). You also have an option of having a full day game drive with picnic lunch boxes. You can also take a balloon flight in one of this days and an aerial view of Maasai Mara which end with a champagne breakfast (extra cost). Maasai Mara being the northern extension of Serengeti national park in Tanzania is always a must see destination for wildlife lovers.

Day 9:
After breakfast, you will depart for Lake Naivasha which is a resort lake and one of the Rift Valley lakes teaming with wildlife. You will arrive in time for lunch and a relaxing afternoon until 1600hrs when you will have a boat ride in the lake and a visit to Naivasha best kept Secret island; the crescent Island.

Meals and Overnight: Lake Naivasha Sopa Resort or Similar (FB)

Day 10:
After breakfast, you will depart with a leisurely drive to Nairobi with stopover at the Great Rift Valley Escarpment arriving at early afternoon in time for lunch (own arrangement). You will be transferred to the airport in good time for your flight or be dropped off at your pick up point.
