5 Days Sirimon - Chogoria Traverse

Day 1:
Nairobi – Sirimon Gate

You will be picked on arrival or from your Nairobi hotel for a transfer to Sirimon Park Gate 2006m. This will be via Nanyuki for some shopping and meeting with the climbing team of porters. After the official entrance formalities, you will begin an acclimatization walk to Old Moses Camp 3300m for overnight (3 Hours).
Day 2:
Ol Moses – Shipton camp

After breakfast, you will start a gradual to Shipton’s Camp 4200m for overnight (6-7 Hours). This will be via Likii north and south river as well as via one of the dramatic sceneries. You will have lunch at the picnic rocks on Mackinder’s valley halfway through to Shipton
Day 3:
Point Lenana – Mintos Hut

You will have a Pre dawn ascent attempt Pt Lenana 4985m. after the sunrise and moments of celebrations, you will descend to Mintos/Hall tarn area for overnight in tents 4300m (5-6 Hours). After lunch, you can have a tour of the area to enjoy the scenic views.
Day 4:
Mintos to Meru Mount Kenya bandas

You will descend to Chogoria Park Gate for overnight in Meru Mount Kenya Bandas after breakfast (5-6 Hours). Lunch will be served at road head near river Nithi. After lunch, the walk will be through a forest where you can encounter elephants and buffaloes.

Overnight at Meru Mount Kenya Banda or tents

Day 5:
Chogoria - Nairobi

After Breakfast descend leisurely via the Chogoria forest (06-07hrs. Halfway, you will be picked by a land rover for a final stretch for forest to Chogoria town where you will have lunch and celebration with your porters and guide. Later on connect with your transfer vehicle back to Nairobi. The trek through the forest is characterized by elephants among other animals including lots of forest birds.
